Mr. Barghausen is the principal engineer of Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., and president of the corporation. He started Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., in March 1982 after 5 1/2 years of engineering practice in the Pacific Northwest. He orchestrated the expansion of Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., from a sole proprietorship up to its current position as one of the largest independently owned professional civil engineering companies in the Pacific Northwest.Mr. Barghausen has accumulated over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, land use planning, and environmental analysis related to a wide variety of construction projects. He has presented numerous land use applications in public hearings and has prepared civil engineering design drawings for almost every facet of land development and public works construction. Mr. Barghausen has personally prepared complete environmental impact statements and has been involved in many related environmental studies throughout his career. He has also been directly responsible for the full design of both single-family and multi-family residential projects, major street improvement projects and numerous storm drainage, water, and sanitary sewer system installations.Mr. Barghausen specializes in the comprehensive control and management of major projects and accounts for clients of the firm. He leads by example, and establishes the work ethic and professional guidelines for Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc. He also provides motivation and guidance for company personnel. His extensive experience is brought to each project in a supervisory capacity with an emphasis on quality control and value engineering. Over Mr. Barghausen's career, he has established strong professional relations with numerous governmental personnel in municipal agencies throughout the Pacific Northwest. Emphasis is always placed on a common sense approach to problem solving, combined with attention to detail and a commitment to providing the best service possible in the industry. |

He specializes in the design and project management of residential sub-division, commercial centers, business parks, industrial parks, office buildings, and road improvement projects requiring unique and innovative site designs to minimize construction costs of earthwork, storm systems, and utilities. Mr. Balmelli has designed and managed numerous commercial, residential and industrial project throughout the Puget Sound area. |

He specializes in the roadway, drainage, grading, utility, and channelization design of residential subdivisions, as well as project management services throughout the construction process. |

Jay S. Grubb is a principal engineer of Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., and Vice President of the corporation. He joined Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., in 1986 and became a principal in the firm in 1994. Mr. Grubb has been practicing the profession of civil engineering and providing land use consulting and project management services throughout the Western United States since 1986 for a wide variety of construction/land development projects. He specializes in the planning, design, project management, and construction of private land developments and public infrastructure improvements. Mr. Grubb has personally designed numerous development projects, including residential subdivisions, apartment complexes, corporate business parks, commercial/retail centers, industrial complexes, and corporate franchise developments. He has designed roadway systems, grading plans, storm drainage facilities, sanitary sewer and water systems, and other private and public site development appurtenances. Mr. Grubb has prepared many land use and subdivision applications, environmental and hydrological studies, feasibility assessments, development cost estimates, and construction specifications. Mr. Grubb's personal involvement of virtually all aspects of engineering consulting and land use planning for a vast number of projects enhances Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., ability to offer full project management services. He is an accomplished project manager experienced in managing all phases of design and development from the initial planning phase through construction. Understanding the comprehensive requirements and needs of a project is an inherent ability that allows his personal involvement in the civil engineering design, site planning, regulatory permitting, and entitlements, feasibility studies, environmental analysis, and construction coordination services. For multi-disciplined projects, he effectively consolidates the efforts of other professionals as needed to maximize the success of the project while minimizing costs. |
