Architectural CAD Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural CAD Technician! You will be an integral part of our team, working under the supervision of project managers and architects to prepare AutoCAD drawings in line with our company standards. Pay is DOE: $29-$43+/hour + Sign-On Bonus

Architectural CAD Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Set up drawings according to company standards for title blocks, layers, fonts, and line weights.
• Prepare conceptual site plans, aerial overlays, building plans, maps, and exhibits.
• Prepare preliminary and final construction documents.
• Update drawings in response to design modifications, redlines, and comments.
• Assemble plan sets for submission to agencies in PDF and Hard Copy.
• Conduct spell checking/cross-referencing/quality control/revision tracking.

Architectural CAD Technician Job Requirements:

• 5 years of experience with an A/E design firm or public agency preparing construction documents, specifications, or similar.
• Candidates that aspire to become licensed architects is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit drafting software.
• Photoshop, SketchUp, Illustrator, and AutoTURN experience a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of all forms of MS office software.
• Strong understanding of site planning, parking, circulation, building placement, setbacks, and landscaping buffers.
• Familiarity with preparing preliminary and construction-level architectural drawings.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, balance a diverse workload, and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ok with a flexible work schedule.
