About the Role

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team in our Kent, WA corporate office. We provide an environment for career advancement and an opportunity to work on different types of projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Align human resources goals and strategies with defined business goals and strategies
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Federal and State rules, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluate and implement policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, immigration, training, compliance, and health and safety
  • Prepare and maintain operating budget for the HR Department
  • Advise company leadership on human resource issues and trends
  • Maintain confidential employee records within the company's filing system
  • Maintain and update the company's employee handbook
  • Oversee employee recruitment including posting job advertisements, coordinating interviews, and counseling managers on candidate selection
  • Assist managers to coach and discipline employees, conduct reviews, and hear and resolve grievances
  • Provide recommendations for employee engagement to promote a positive and consistent employee experience
  • Payroll administration
  • Manage and regularly audit employee benefit program, including benefits broker management, employee communications, compliance and annual open enrollment
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of comprehensive HR management experience in a similar or more complex organization required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in HR preferred
  • Professional Accreditation such as SHRM or PHR
  • Knowledge of hiring, benefits administration, performance management, communication processes, confidentiality, compensation and wage structure, employee classifications, employment law, laws against sexual harassment, and organization structure
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with the ability to direct and manage staff
  • Able to handle confidential material and sensitive situations in a reliable manner
  • A proven track record and strong desire to provide superior client service
  • High attention to detail, organization and prioritization
  • Thorough understanding of leadership development, human capital development, organizational behavior, labor and industrial relations
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal, ethical conduct and public presentation skills
  • Experience with Ajera, BenefitMall, and/or related software a plus
