Tacoma Allenmore Marketplace Walmart

Tacoma, WA

Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Land Use Planning

The Challenge

Located in Tacoma, WA, the Allenmore Marketplace accommodates nearly 60,000 square feet of mixed-use commercial, service, and office space. Our customer, Jlo Washington Enterprises, Inc. engaged Barghausen with the Allenmore Marketplace development, which included a 17.76 acre regional shopping center and a 148,000 square foot Walmart.

A project of this magnitude, of course, came with its own challenges. Not only was the Allenmore Marketplace a complex real estate transaction, but the Tacoma neighborhood was sensitive to its development. Our team also had to navigate a controversial land use entitlement process and orchestrate significant earthwork and mass grading during the course of the project.

The Solution

Our customer engaged our team for the following services during the scope of the Tacoma Allenmore Market Place project:

  • Civil engineering
  • Land use planning
  • Land surveying
  • Landscape architecture
