Costco Wholesale is an American multinational corporation which operates a chain of membership-only warehouse clubs and is the second largest retailer in the world after Walmart.
Barghausen was contracted by our customer, Costco Wholesale, for the new construction of a 160,000-square-ft. Costco Wholesale warehouse and fuel facility in a heavily wooded-17.27 acre site in Covington, WA. In addition, this project included the design and construction of new public roadways and roundabouts adjoining neighboring properties in downtown Covington.
Like with most projects, this Costco Wholesale Covington project came with its own set of unique challenges, including:
- Extensive public improvements and roadways
- Complicated real estate transactions
- Navigating around existing significant trees
- Significant transmission line easements
