Kent Station

Kent, WA

Civil Engineering, Commercial, Mixed-Use | 21 acres

Kent Station was designed to be an “open air urban village” located in the heart of Kent, WA. Barghausen partnered with Tarragon, LLC to provide civil engineering and construction administration services for this two-phase development. Phase one consisted of the eastern portion of the site which included two separate detention vaults that were designed to manage excess runoff for the entire site. Our team worked closely with the City of Kent who designed the roadway improvements for the site. The village offers 15 single-story retail shops, a 186,000 sf lifestyle center and a four story, 75,800 sf building that is used as office and classroom space by Green River Community College. The 21 acre site was designed with open spaces and pedestrian sky bridges connecting the different areas. Strategically located right next to the Sound Transit station and the Kent ShoWare Center, this project transformed downtown Kent into a space where people gather for modern shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.
