New Community Church

Barghausen provided civil engineering and land surveying services for the New Community Church campus in Maple Valley, WA. This unique location features multiple buildings used as gathering spaces and wedding venues, including the historic Olson Mansion. The new additions to the campus have contemporary touches while still honoring the historical manner of the barn and Olson Mansion. The award-winning project consisted of designing a new 3,200 sf gathering center to compliment the 100-year-old barn that is used as a worship space and wedding venue.

Our team provided services for the recent addition of the gathering space and was previously involved in the barn renovation. The gathering space design features unique overhead bifold doors that allow the space to be opened up to the outdoors. When the doors are open, they form canopies around building that increase the outdoor covered area, fulfilling the client's goal of providing creative environments that encourage people to come together. Our team has been involved in this phased development since 2012 and we are currently working on further enhancements to the campus. The updated New Community Church campus will soon feature a new field house, additional parking, remodeled landscapes, and a kids play area.
