Located just minutes from downtown Maple Valley, The Marquee is a mixed-use development that offers modern apartment living spaces, Starbucks, Club Pilates and a dental and medical building. The 5-acre site is located within walking distance from hiking trails, Lake Wilderness, restaurants and shopping centers. Residents of Marquee Living have access to many amenities including a playground, a 24-hour fitness center, a community lounge, bike storage, covered parking, a dog park and outdoor firepit areas.
Barghausen partnered with Integrity Land, LLC for this 2-phase development. Our team was responsible for the civil engineering, land surveying, land use planning and landscape architecture for the site. The first phase consisted of the completion of the commercial buildings on the site. The final phase included two apartment buildings along with a recreation building. Stormwater plans included bioinfiltration vaults for water quality treatment and infiltration chambers to provide full infiltration for runoff. The development timeline intersected with the expansion of the nearby highway, so construction coordination with public agencies was crucial. Throughout the project we coordinated closely with the City of Maple Valley to accomplish the frontage improvements along highway 169. Our landscape architects designed walkways and outdoor spaces throughout the site to enhance connectivity for the community.
