Wilburton Village

The Wilburton Village (Bellevue South) project consisted of developing civil engineering solutions for a 426,000 sf commercial retail center on 4.95-acres. This mixed-use development provides a new shopping and working hub in the downtown area, with tenants such as Chipotle, Target, PCC Community Markets, Dave & Busters, Wells Fargo and Virginia Mason. The location also features parking garage areas on the first, second and fourth floor, and a loading truck dock with a maneuvering area.

Throughout the project we coordinated with the City of Bellevue, KG Investments, MG2, Bayley Construction and JR Hayes and Sons. The project had unique grading requirements due to the existing topography of the site combined with the addition of a large four story development. Our team designed frontage improvements including utility connections along 116th Avenue and driveway connections along 4th street NE. As a high profile project in the downtown area, The City of Bellevue entitlement and permitting process was challenging. Enhanced water treatment was designed and provided for this project and the site was flow control exempt.

We assisted the client to provide the most cost effective solutions for the challenging grading issues on this site in conjunction with the contractors. We also provided permit expediting services that allowed the project to start construction sooner than normal under Bellevue’s jurisdiction
