Island Enterprises teamed with Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc. for the remodel of Elevation, a Squaxin Island Tribal project in Tumwater, WA. The goal with this project was to restore a call center for the use of a commercial retail cannabis store and to turn an adjacent parcel into a paved parking lot for the location. The parking lot also contained a new retail drive-thru kiosk. Our team provided architectural design services for the remodel of the building, and civil engineering and landscape design services for the parking lot.

Our architects were responsible for space planning and reconfiguration of both floors, new exterior finishes and roofing, new interior finishes, new restrooms and stairs and a new entry canopy, to revitalize the building for the new retail use.

Site improvements included converting an adjacent parcel into a paved parking lot for the retail building. Stormwater plans for the parking lot incorporate bio swales, detention vaults and infiltration facilities.

The new Squaxin Tribe shop is conveniently located off Old Highway 99 near the Olympia Regional Airport.

Architecture plans: Demolition, floor, reflected ceiling, roof, exterior elevations, interior elevations of restrooms, preliminary and construction remodel drawings

Consultant plans: Structural Engineering, Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing

Civil Engineering plans for onsite improvements: Grading, TESC, stormwater drainage control, and horizontal control
