Tacoma I-5 Industrial Center

Tacoma, WA

Civil Engineering, Industrial | 3.77 Acres

The Tacoma I-5 Distribution Center was completed in the fall of 2019, with plans to help fill the industrial gap in the greater Tacoma area. The warehouse is strategically placed in an unmatched location, just 1 mile from major freeways and minutes from the Port of Tacoma. Barghausen partnered with Vector Development Company for this unique industrial project.

Vector Development Company announced the new distribution center in 2018, with engineering and construction fully complete just one year later. This project included the development of a 77,432-square-foot Industrial Center on a 3.77-acre site. The warehouse features 3 ground level doors, 13 dock high doors and 2 office nodes.

This multi-phased project included a unique underground infiltration system design due to good soils on the site. The stormwater is treated with an enhanced water quality system before infiltration. The site is also served by a private water system. To avoid full half-street reconstruction, we had to design around the existing roadway.
