Starlite Distribution Center

Davis Property & Investment (DPI) has developed a range of commercial real estate projects, such as distribution centers and business parks across the Puget Sound. Barghausen provided civil engineering, permitting, land surveying and landscape design services for the Starlite Distribution Center in Lakewood, WA. This site was originally a historic drive-in movie theater developed in 1948. To keep the historic nature of the landmark site, they kept the original name of the theater, Starlite. The Starlite project consisted of designing a 32' clear height, 245,973 sf Class A industrial warehouse with 74 dock high doors and four (4) drive-in doors. The parking lot features over 200 parking stalls and 33 trailer stalls with options to secure the yard. The stormwater plans included catch basins to collect runoff from impervious surfaces with an infiltration gallery and two (2) BioPod systems to provide enhanced water quality treatment. Located just 1 mile from I-5 access and 8 miles from the Port of Tacoma.
